HHS’s Paw Talks went down last night. 12 Students, 10 Videos. Topics were on obstacles in life and how to overcome them. Never giving up. How six months can change your life. The importance of being who you are, even if it hurts.

Last Friday’s Spring Sports Assembly featured a rollicking performance from HHS’s dance team. Where they turned in a fine interpretation of Little Red Riding Hood.

Pretty in Pink explores gender as a social construct in the context of adolescent females. The pressure people face to conform to specific human characteristics allotted to them with their biological sex can be immense; especially for those who don’t fit the gender binary. Read more

The vice that had been crushing my chest and twisting my stomach in knots seemed to loosen to a gentle caress. I could breathe again. My concerns settled back to how well I did on this test, if that boy liked me, and what I was doing next weekend. Life felt simple and light, the way it should be for a kid.
Yesterday Teachers and Staff at Heritage held an outrageous holiday sweater competition, entitled A Sweater to Remember, here are a few of the entries.
The winner, Sonya Royal donned some pretty outrageous candy cane glasses and you will see in this slideshow.
