It is an enjoyable event filled with joyful, funny, and deep entertainers <\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"f8fb3452-e682-4a62-8bfa-00777d271633\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"0a6993b7-4a04-4284-b7ab-46de597212c0\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"eb16014a-cfc4-459e-abcb-58f6a0b79a1d\">signing<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"> along to popular songs. It is one of three ASL events held at Heritage, along with <strong>Signing Idol<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Sign<\/strong><strong> and Out.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">.<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4586 alignnone\" style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" alt=\"ASL_1\" src=\"http:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_1-350x233.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_1-350x233.jpg 350w, https:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_1-100x66.jpg 100w, https:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_1-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The night started \u00a0out slow, will schools from across the country going on stage and rehearsing their songs.\u00a0 It was oddly quiet due to the use of Sign Language over English, making a very surreal scene as the only sound heard was a piano being played backstage. Students\u00a0felt the competition bubbling up, which only fed nervous ticks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ASL_3\" src=\"http:\/\/howlheritage.com\/media\/2014\/04\/ASL_3-350x233.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The night kicked off with Heritage\u2019s own ASL teacher Bethany \u201cBuffy\u201d Hummel <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"ed5dd91a-ce96-4200-903a-43f0fe3635b1\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"8c2b6db9-baa7-4389-9e7a-06cf7804a272\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"83670cb0-4f2c-4587-9c93-dbb670b62a61\">signing<\/span><\/span><\/span> to the crowd as ASL teacher<span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"a4d4a00b-c236-4bde-b29b-39332c8085b1\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"4efa48f2-ff83-43d1-bade-1d49f638976c\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"bc126ffa-f00a-4dfa-a34f-0d3b998689dc\">,<\/span><\/span><\/span>Mrs. Cayton, interpreted. Cayton and Hummel \u00a0started the night with a touching tribute by <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"00bd4e64-459b-4662-9473-66b80f626448\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"ffeb3047-8471-4c18-ba85-072d5ce26d89\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"cab693cc-7580-446d-b0c5-7d1bd81d97b5\">having\u00a0 students perform \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span>Colors\u201d to the audience and received a certificate of achievement.
